A pivotal meeting point where the East meets the West, Trieste is a privileged and crucial observatory of the Central and Eastern European countries. The zero edition of Alpe The 20th edition of Alpe Adria Cinema - Trieste Film Festival is nowadays the most rich and articulated Italian film festival devoted to the cinema from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. The Festival, run by artistic director Annamaria Percavassi, owes its international well-establish prestige first of all to the curious and long-term opening to the more ad more wide and new geographical areas, and also to the focusing attention towards the very high quality of the selection. The Festival is a unique opportunity to meet with filmmakers, actors, film professionals coming from these explored areas of interest, in order to discuss freely with film critics and experts.

Every year the Festival displays a wide and diversified program, composed of about 150 titles, with an increasing number of international and national premieres of feature films, documentaries and short films, all screened in three theatres in their original version and subtitled into both English and Italian. In addition to the presentation of the best films made during the last year in the Central and Eastern European countries, the Festival offers special events, unique monographic sections and a retrospective traditionally devoted to an important and original filmmaker of our areas of interest.

Il festival come caleidoscopio; il festival come filtro che può regalarci una nuova visione del reale fornendoci nuovi paradigmi e nuove visioni attraverso il viaggio dei film selezionati da Alpe Adria Cinema. Questa l’idea di fondo della nuova veste grafica di questa edizione, volutamente artigianale e in parte work in progress, ricalcando il lavorio di ricerca e costruzione proprio di un festival cinematografico. Una grande T bianca su campiture floreali che ammiccano all’est diventa l’elemento che si frappone tra l’occhio dello spettatore e la realtà: né schermo né deformazione ma punto di vista privilegiato sul mondo che ci circonda. Un mondo inaccessibile perché a kilometri e universi culturali di distanza ma che diventa esperienza quotidiana grazie al Trieste Film Festival che a gennaio 2009 festeggerà la sua ventesima edizione.

For a few days our festival has been launched onto YouTube, the well known video sharing site and on Facebook, the most entered site for social networking.
Alpe Adria Cinema has taken over the network with a channel completely dedicated to The Trieste Film Festival where it is possible to see trailers from past editions, interviews, video diaries…. With a simple registration to the Festival channel you can comment on the videos, put up your own short films inherent to the event. Even though it is a channel thought up by us it can only be constructed and developed with your fundamental help… 
A In just a few days since it was set up the Trieste Film Festival group on Facebook has reached more than 300 members, more than any other festival in the region! A simple registration to Facebook will allow you to interact with us, express your opinions and give your advice on how to make the universal Alpe Adria Cinema personal to you.

MASSIMO ZAMBONI E FABIO BRESSAN PER TFF 2009

Finalmente on line la sigla del festival targata Alpe Adria Cinema che festeggerà la sua 20a edizione dal 15 al 22 gennaio prossimi.
Un trailer di 30” per introdurci nell’universo visivo di Trieste Film Festival a compendio della nuova veste grafica 2009: volutamente artigianale e in parte work in progress, ricalcando il lavorio di ricerca e costruzione proprio di un festival cinematografico.
“Per il nostro ventesimo compleanno volevamo una sigla speciale” afferma Annamaria Percavassi, direttrice del festival “contemporaneamente l’amico Massimo Zamboni, nome storico della scena musicale italiana prima con i CCCP - Fedeli alla Linea e poi con i CSI, ci ha voluto regalare una musica originale composta per il trieste film festival! Una musica nello stile di Zamboni: lieve ed evocativa capace di compiere un viaggio oltre la linea d’orizzonte per dischiudere realtà lontane”.
Così il musicista emiliano: “Ho immaginato nella mia musica un rifiorire fuori stagione -siamo in gennaio, no?- note che evocano un nostro diritto all’incanto. Forse è proprio questo il segreto del cinema, dove cento congiunzioni, mille meteoriti scrivono nello schermo del cielo”.
La regia del trailer è di Fabio Bressan, talento tutto triestino già autore della sigla 2008/9 della trasmissione tv Nonsolomoda.
