Alison Oliver loves The Ordinary

The ‘Conservations With Friends’ star would rather nourish her face than cover it with cosmetics, citing affordable beauty brand The Ordinary as one of her favorites, calling them “brilliant.”

Sharing some of her favorite things, the 24-year-old actress told British Vogue: “I’m more into skincare than makeup. All of The Ordinary products are brilliant, especially Hyaluronic Acid (£6.40/$8.20).

Alison – who stars alongside Joe Alwyn and Jemima Kirke in the Hulu adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel – also hailed the “sustainable” new sports line from her sister, Olly Olly.

She said: “My sister just started Olly Olly, a sustainable sportswear brand that I wear all the time.”

Alison has revealed she gets an “endorphin rush” from swimming in the sea – a habit she picked up during the COVID-19 lockdown – and being out in nature.

She said: “I started swimming in the Irish Sea during the pandemic – it gives you such an endorphin rush. I also love doing the Howth Cliff Walk on a Sunday afternoon.

Of her time on the show, Alison – who attended Lir Academy with ‘Normal People’ star Paul Mescal – said: “I had no idea how to go about it. I literally sat on my bed for hours, staring at the opposite wall, in total shock.

Alison – who is also in a relationship with Paul’s co-star Eanna Hardwicke – added: “I guess it all seems quite serendipitous. Serendipitous – but totally surreal.
