Chanel is launching an immersive beauty exhibition in Paris that celebrates its iconic fragrances.

Chanel’s Grand Numéro will be a “festive and olfactory whirlwind” highlighting the inspiration behind the French fashion house’s most popular fragrances.

Fragrance connoisseurs can learn about the heritage and craftsmanship behind fragrances such as Les Exclusifs De Chanel, Les Eaux De Chanel and Chanel N°5.

The sensory journey will merge technology and smell, alongside “wonderful magic tricks, unexpected discoveries and long-awaited encounters”.

The exhibition takes place at the Grand Palais Éphémère from December 15, 2022 to January 9, 2023.

The fashion house has worked with the venue before, previously using it as an exhibition space for its runway collections.

“It is the singularity of Chanel perfumes which is expressed through a visit rich in experiences, discoveries and emotions”, specifies the brand.

“From classic to iconic, from bare minimalism to the utmost sophistication.”

The project is said to be over a year in the making.

Potential visitors can attend for free with registration now open.

Chanel isn’t the only luxury brand to unveil a new beauty experience in time for Christmas.

French fashion house Dior has teamed up with London luxury department store Harrods for a new “takeover”.

The Fabulous World of Dior at Harrods, which is now open, has two spaces dedicated to beauty.

It presents the couture perfumes of the La Collection Privée brand Christian Dior, as well as its make-up and skincare lines.

What else is Chanel doing for Christmas?

As part of her Christmas plans, Chanel unveiled her new beauty collection with an emphasis on the celestial.

“Rising Star” (MUA) makeup artists have also been hired to “re-energize” the brand’s makeup category.
