Do You Really Need an 8-Step Skincare Routine? Here’s what we know

Three things come to mind when you hear the word skin care – dry skin, skin cancer, and a long aisle of cosmetics at your neighborhood drug store. However, this is not just a small problem. Although a skin care regimen may seem like a lot of work, the steps for great skin are not only important but also simple to follow.

You should start by considering your skin type. The three main varieties of skin are dry, oily and combination; although your skin may change depending on the season, it should generally remain fairly constant.

First, the components of a diet for great skin must be understood. Indiscriminate use of many products without any knowledge of your skin or skin care ingredients can make your skin texture worse. In other words, what types of products are really necessary to maintain healthy and clean skin?

Here is a list of products you can use that are not too fancy but effective for your skin. Looked!

You’ll be washing your face with a cleanser, so make sure it’s made for faces rather than just using a bar or body wash you have on hand. You should gently wash your face, being careful not to scratch it. After that, rinse off with lukewarm water to avoid stripping your skin of its natural oils and dehydrating it.

It may take some trial and error to find the cleaner that works best for you. You should use one without alcohol or perfume if you have dry skin. If you have oily skin, you should look for an oil-free product and you may also want to use a toner. While a cliched skincare routine always asks you to do a double cleanse, the oil-based one can be skipped.

Serums are an additional optional component of your skincare regimen and contain active compounds such as antioxidants or retinol that benefit skin health in a variety of ways, including reducing inflammation and improving texture and firmness.

Moisturizers are for everyone and should be applied after every face wash, just like cleansers. Similar to finding the right cleanser, some trial and error is only natural. Oily skin, for example, could benefit from light, oil-free or gel solutions. Your skin stays hydrated and smooth with moisturizers because they prevent your skin from drying out. When applied to slightly damp skin, they work best to lock in moisture. Also, in order to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, you can invest in a moisturizer with a higher SPF.

So ! Get started with this routine and say hello to glowing skin!
