in-cosmetics Asia, an APAC trade show for personal care ingredients, has announced its current lineup of content and exhibitors. The exhibition will be held at BITEC in Bangkok from November 1 to 3, 2022.

Ingredient innovation

According to in-cosmetics Asia, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about new ingredients and solutions in the personal care market, as well as upcoming product development (NPD) opportunities. Announced exhibitors include:

  • Seiwa Kasei, Japanese manufacturer of cosmetic ingredients, will present its new SESAQUA (Hydrolyzed Sesame Protein). The long-lasting skin conditioner ingredient is made from sesame and will also be featured in this year’s Innovation Zone.
  • Roelmi HPC, a global company in the health and personal care market, will present its ÆCTIVE EquiBiotics LRh and Ener-GY ingredients designed to support the well-being of the skin – derived from non-GMO metabolites, probiotics and active ingredients .
  • Ingredients from Indonesia will highlight its Organic FFL Kukui Nut Oil. Produced from raw materials gathered from the forest floor of Borneo, the oil will debut as a Fair Trade, organic quality ingredient.
  • Eurofragrance, a Spanish fragrance house focused on sustainability, will present its vegan and sustainable range Ecoconscient, and Sensolab – which combines innovation and sustainability for consumer experiences.

Educational Opportunities

in-cosmetics has also published its educational content project, which will include a marketing and data component:

  • The Theater Marketing Trends & Regulations:
    • Sophie Wen, Senior Market Analyst at, will review Chinese ingredients market trends, demographics and data.
    • One session will discuss the role of Gen Z and Millennials in using technology to influence the beauty market.
  • The Marketing Trends & Regulations program will cover industry trends for professionals across the entire NPD process.
  • There will also be an in-depth interpretation of Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Regulations (CSAR) and other regulatory trends in China. These will be explained during the session led by REACH24H Consulting Group.
  • K-Beauty, C-Beauty, J-Beauty and T-Beauty will review the latest developments in China and look into other key markets such as Korea, Japan and Thailand. This will cover products, ingredients, marketing tools, consumer behavior and COVID-19 influences.
  • The ‘Conquering beauty e-commerce’ presentation is the subject of another presentation hosted by Marcella Vanessa, founder of Azarine Cosmetic, whose Hydrasoothe sun gel has gone viral. The session will look at how leveraging social channels and influencers can lead to product success.

Other topics that will also be discussed throughout the three-day program include the themes of “ageless beauty”, strategies for obtaining certification for halal beauty products, and future opportunities to sustainably scale innovations from cruelty-free, vegan and organic products.

Interactive learning

In-cosmetics Asia has revealed that sourcing new ingredients and formulation techniques will be the subject of several interactive spaces offering hands-on experience of new products on the market.

Their formulation lab will return in 2022, with sessions designed to help formulators and R&D specialists learn about new ingredients and formulation techniques. It will also host an interactive masterclass led by in-cosmetics Asia technical advisor, Dr. Oliver Hofmann.

Technical seminars, delivered by raw material suppliers, will provide a comprehensive overview of key personal care ingredients and in-depth knowledge of the benefits they provide.

Meanwhile, the Innovation Zone will feature 50 ingredients and formulations launched either at the show or in the eight months preceding it.

The Spotlight On interactive product display will focus on key industry trends in 2022. This year, it will cover fragrances, healthy skin and makeup.

Closing of the show

The show’s awards ceremony will take place in the Innovation Zone on November 2 and will reward the best ingredients in the Innovation Zone; Active and functional categories, and the best ingredients formulated Spotlight On.

In-cosmetics further stated that, exclusively for 2022, attendees who register online for this year’s event will receive an exclusive 21-page in-cosmetics Asia report titled “The Changing Face of the APAC Cosmetics Industry” – which features information from the Kline Group and the Gentleman Marketing agency.
