Inessens makes a name for itself in the cosmetics and perfume industry

In 2019, the Inessens group acquired four printers specializing in labels and cases for cosmetics and perfumes. Since then, she has decided to use her pool of know-how to try to meet the expectations of the beauty market.

This allowed us to acquire different techniques and to develop a complete offer of labels, cases, boxes, scented strips and standard scented cards for a global secondary packaging service.», explains the marketing director of the group, Christine Dubois.

Acclaimed for its ability to innovate, Inessens aims to expand its catalog with new premium solutions in line with an eco-design approach. “We want to offer our customers techniques that will help them stand out with their packaging design.“, She adds.

Innovation is reflected in new ranges of materials, such as velvet, wood, cork, moiré or natural canvas, suede, silk… and a mix of techniques such as the superposition of labels for more volume. and creativity.

To encounter Wet & See ink supplier helped Inessens to come up with innovative and creative scent strip solutions. The ink becomes transparent on contact with water or sprayed perfume to reveal the printed decoration underneath. This process is reversible in just a few minutes.

Inks based on natural pigments

In addition, the company has developed a collection of sixteen inks based on natural pigments derived from minerals and plants. The pastel shades of the collection are intended to be supplemented with new colors, the lightfastness of which is tested.

We have been working for more than three years on more responsible labeling solutions, and there is indeed a craze for our inks based on natural pigments. They meet a strong demand for eco-designed packs“, explains Christelle Dubois. Since the launch of the range, more than two million labels have been printed with these inks.

And for an even stronger offer, the company also supports its customers with a short guide on the ten stages of eco-design.

Eco-design is not only about choosing a biosourced material or a more natural ink. It is a holistic and comprehensive concept which, for example, also aims to reduce the size of a label by one millimeter to optimize the roll width for less paper waste or hot stamping.“explains the director.

Asserting yourself with a positioning made in France

The company is run by eight worker-shareholders. It counts 280 employees on the nine printing works and carried out a 57 million turnover in 2021, of which 20% in the cosmetics and perfume industry. It aims to reach 100 million by 2025.

Inessens intends to broaden its skills and focus its efforts on its multiple and cross-disciplinary skills. So there will be new purchases, but always with customer service in mind, because we want to be present in French regions where we are not yet established, to be closer to our customers.concludes Christelle Dubois.
